House Dinner Program

The kitchen is the heart of every home.  Most of our families spend the day at the hospital with their children. After many exhausting hours, it is a welcome gift to return to the House and find a meal waiting for them. The House Dinner Program helps reduce some of the tremendous stress experienced by the families, and ensures that families staying at the Ronald McDonald House have home-cooked meals without taking precious time away from their children.

Volunteers provide dinner Wednesday’s and  Sunday’s year round. Individuals or groups sign up to prepare meals for approximately 45 to 50 people .

Please note:  House Dinners have new guidelines that highlight food safety policies for our children, families and volunteers.  Meals are now exclusively prepared onsite using the Ronald McDonald House facilities or catered/purchased from a restaurant.  For the protection of our immune-suppressed guests, House Dinner volunteers must be healthy to enter the Ronald McDonald House.  Children are encouraged to help with the meal but must be at least 10 years of age and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Because space is limited we recommend a max of 12 volunteers participate. More information about these meals is available in our House Dinner Guidelines.   Please contact us to schedule a House Dinner date.
