Other Ways to Help

Bake Shop Program

Baked goods are now being prepared in our community kitchen following specially developed guidelines by Bake Shop volunteers.

Individuals, groups, schools, and businesses are invited to participate by donating commercially prepared baked goods and frozen cookie dough.

Handmade Blankets & Lap Quilts

Every family who stays at the House receives a handmade blanket for their child. Blankets and Lap Quilts are lovingly made by members of our community and are greatly appreciated. Sizes: Teen 4’ X 6’, Infant/Youth 3’ X 5’

Family Activities

Host a special activity to brighten the day for the children and families. Activities include but are not limited to arts & crafts, bingo, board games, movies, birthday and holiday theme parties. Family Activities are coordinated through our Child Life Specialist program.

House Dinners

Plan, cook and serve a meal for our guest families.  House Dinners are held on Wednesday and Sunday evenings.  To schedule a dinner or for more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 507-282-3955.

Special Events

Volunteers are appreciated to support the many details of special events. Events are held throughout the year. These Special Events raise awareness and funds for our Rochester House.
