Planned GiftsPlanned GivingEverything you have accumulated in your life must be passed on. You can choose the recipients of these gifts - life insurance equity stocks and cash bequests - through a well-planned estate. If you wish to give a legacy gift to help children and their families through times of difficult illness for years to come, the Ronald McDonald House would be very grateful for your contribution. To learn more about the opportunities to share your legacy with the families of the Ronald McDonald House, please contact us or call the Community Development Director at 507-282-3955 . BequestsThe most simple, straightforward way to leave a planned gift is through your will. After consulting with family members and your legal and/or financial advisors, a brief statement in your new will or a codicil to your existing will makes your wishes known. Trusts and Gift AnnuitiesYou can establish a number of charitable instruments that provide a stream of income during your lifetime and a significant gift to the Ronald McDonald House at your death. We would be pleased to work with you, your estate or financial planner and your attorney on the development of charitable trusts and annuities to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. A Lifetime of Giving: Cora Scharf Watkins Ask anyone who knew Cora Scharf Watkins and you'll hear of her big heart and her giving spirit. Cora extended her giving spirit to help families of seriously ill children when she established a Charitable Remainder Trust to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester. Cora came to Rochester in 1931 with her husband Walter, who died in 1983. Together, they grew their family through the loving care of foster children and their business, Scharf Auto Parts, into a successful company, which still operates today. We are honored to continue Cora’s legacy of caring at the Ronald McDonald House, The House that Love Built. |
